The Panther jacket, piece by piece
Why our double-breasted jacket has a soft shoulder, a generous lapel and nothing it doesn't need.
30 Oct 2026 · BRADICANE

A double-breasted jacket can look stiff. The Panther was drawn to do the opposite: to sit easily, move with you, and look as right with a T-shirt as with a tie.
A softer shoulder
We left out the heavy padding. The shoulder follows your own line, so the jacket drapes rather than stands. It is the detail you notice when you put it on, and the reason it gets reached for again.
The lapel
The peak lapel is cut generously and rolls to the button rather than being pressed flat. In black it reads as evening; in chocolate it becomes a daytime jacket for the weekend.
How to wear it
- Buttoned, with the Tailored Barrel-Leg Trouser in charcoal, for the full line.
- Open, over the Oxford Shirt in ivory, sleeves pushed back.
- With denim: the Selvedge Bootcut Jean keeps it from feeling formal.
Fewer things, chosen well, kept for years.
